In adherence to the age-old Iranian tradition, we came together on the 13th of Farvardin (April 2nd) this year and immersed ourselves in the embrace of nature.
To kick off Sizdah Bedar, at 10 AM, we planted twenty-nine saplings, not only to cherish our natural surroundings but also to pay tribute to our dear departed and the children who parted from our midst in recent months, their absence keenly felt this year. May their memory, much like these drifting trees, remain steadfast and evergreen. 🕊🕊
👉 We had saplings and a few gardening tools ready, and we encouraged attendees to bring gloves and a trowel if possible. It was an excellent opportunity for children to kindle an interest in tree planting.
👉 An instructor was on hand to provide guidance and explanations regarding tree planting.
👉 Following this, we indulged in a delightful picnic and played games together (potluck-style). Attendees brought along their favorite foods, snacks, and games to share in the spirit of togetherness.
👉 We had thoughtfully prepared some badminton rackets, chess sets, a volleyball, and similar items in advance.
